I am interested in macroeconomics, labour economics, human resource development, and empirical development economics. My primary research focus is the employment and productivity dynamics of organised manufacturing in India. In particular, I look into the reallocation of jobs, the cyclicality of the components of productivity growth, and the impact of labour reforms in India. I am also interested in the employment dynamics of the Indian labour market during the pandemic
