Materials science: Nanomaterials with varied morphologies, high surface area, tunable pore size and surface chemistry are the best materials to develop cost effective and viable water sensing and purification technology. My research work aims at fabrication of novel and unique nanomaterials with desired structures and shapes for removal of contaminants from water. Further they will be functionalized with active components and integrated into various composites in order to tune their properties
